Legendary Pashmina kani shawl is the great art of Kashmir shawl artistry. It is made from pure pashmina on a handloom but instead of a shuttle used in a pashmina shawl, it is made using cane needles. Like a carpet, the pattern is woven into the kani shawl. Depending on the complexity of the pattern, weaving of kani shawl may take from 6 to 18 months on handlooms.
